Water Connections WIRS

Water connections network design
Our regional teams are made up of experienced individuals recruited from the utilities industry into roles specifically dedicated to water network design. As part of our water design process, we fully design and cost the water infrastructure to customer requirements as part of the full multi-utility solution. We project manage the process including liaison with our in-house operations and site teams, as well as maintaining regular communication with developers, consultants and the adopting water company.
To help reduce customer costs, our teams are also proficient in liaising with and challenging the water authority on issues such as statutory water charges and any customer contributions that the water company require.
Prior to handover of the approved water network designs, our teams will undertake full liaison with your local water companies to ensure connection and adoption of the assets. This is achieved through the rigorous national standards for design approval, inclusive of site surveys, audits and inspections.
Building water networks
The installation of the full network infrastructure of water mains and services by Energetics includes excavation, backfilling and reinstatement.
After the installation process, our teams undertake the commissioning processes of pressure testing, disinfection and final connection to the live water network, prior to transferring the new water assets to the regional water authority.
Fire safety
As part of Energetics’ design and install processes we liaise with the Fire Authority to establish their hydrant requirements and when requested, we install the fire hydrants and arrange their transfer to the Fire Authority on completion.
Service connections and water meters
Should customers request support with fitting water meters, Energetics technical capability in water connections means that we can install the service connections and meters to the customer’s build programme, dependant on your local water company’s preference.
Project completion
After the installation process, our teams undertake testing, chlorination, flushing and final charge with your potable water, we then transfer the water network assets to the regional water authority.
